As in sport, dance performance is not a single act. Hence, we can make the argument that dance can be considered an art form along with the other arts. To jump high off the ground you need agility and strength. For some reason, this art form is not considered to be under the same category as hockey, baseball or even Zumba. Just my two cents, but I'm obviously a huge know-it-all on the subject! The amount of work dancers put into their dances is astounding. Ballet itself is not a competitive sport; it is an art.
